Description
Job Title: Luxury Retail Security Officer NOT CORPORATE
Location: Glasgow City Centre
Availability: Full-time, including weekends
Dress Code: Full Black Suit, White Shirt, Black Tie, Black smart laced shoes

Job Purpose: The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the assigned site in Central London Stores. This role requires the ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Job Overview: As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role as the first point of contact for visitors and customers. Your primary responsibilities will include patrolling the premises, monitoring CCTV systems, and implementing access control measures. You will be responsible for protecting property and individuals from theft, assault, and safety hazards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site to deter and detect any security threats.
- Monitor CCTV systems to identify any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Safeguard valuables by ensuring they are stored securely in designated areas.
- Prevent theft, assault, fire, and safety incidents by implementing appropriate security measures.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of any security incidents, including detailed reports.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for visitors, ensuring proper identification and adherence to security procedures.
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
- Remain vigilant at all times, proactively identifying and addressing potential security risks.
- Remain calm and composed in emergency situations, effectively handling them while minimizing potential harm.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must be able to provide 5 years checkable work history to current date.
- First Aid and Fire Marshal training (preferable).
- Must have completed both ACT Awareness and Security E-Learning.
- Flexibility, commitment, and punctuality to work on a full-time basis, including weekends.
- Excellent concentration skills, with the ability to remain focused and attentive during shifts.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with visitors, staff, and emergency personnel.
- Keen attention to detail to identify and address potential security threats.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, dealing with emergency situations efficiently and effectively.
Note: Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not required. Training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.
